It was a wish of the former owner that her family home be passed on to create homes for those in need. Working with her daughter, Dwell was able to purchase the land and now is working to fulfil her mother’s wishes.
Dwell has engaged Nacelles Architects, as the firm that will fulfil this vision. They introduced Dwell to the former owner. Nacalles have designed a scheme that adds 10 new homes in a mix of sizes, including larger family homes in a nod to the original owner’s Samoan heritage. There will also be two accessible one-bedroom units.

A Resource Consent application has been submitted to Hutt City Council. Dwell is working to raise funds to continue on to preparing for Building Consent.
